What the heck is going on?

Got my eggs in the mail today from Dave. Put them in the bator now my humidity is stuck between 65 and 70%. I took all the water out and it won't go down. I've had it running for two weeks and the temp always stays the same and the humidity has always stayed at 50%. I'm not sure if its high because its our first day long rain this year or what. Even tried moving it to other levels of the house. Any ideas, and is this a huge deal, kind of got me worried. Thanks for any input.

Hmmm? One thing is the humidity gauge may be off. I've read some of your other posts, and if it's still running high, you may want to pick up a digital thermometer with a hydrometer built in at WalMart.
