AmerIcana, spelled that way, is a fancy (deceptive, IMO) name for an Easter Egger, which is a mixed breed chicken, to make people think they are getting a true purebred Ameraucana, which is a different bird, sometimes used to breed Easter Eggers. Easter Eggers (EE), are lovely birds that lay colored eggs, anything from blueish to green to sometimes pink, cream or light brown. Each bird will lay only its own color egg, however. Unlike Ameraucanas, they do not breed true.
