What the heck was that?

I'm with the bigfoot group. I'm also a coward. I would put out lights around the chickens and maybe a game camera in the edge of the woods where you suspect it came from, and peek out the window from a safe place! What was under the coop that would make it go under there?

got me. just the hanging feeder and another feed bowl. The chick feed bowl was not under the trailer.

Under the trailer is where the chickens dust bathe as the dirt is always dry ....maybe it smelled like chicken?

my 88 year old farmer neighbor came and took a look, and he thinks the bear swiped the dirt. me, I'm not so sure - would think a bear would have eaten the layer feed as that has corn in it.

beaver maybe? the wide tail many times "covers" or wipes out their footprints.

Sounds like a bear to me too. He probably was startled by something and took off before haivng a chance to eat anything (or anybody).
