WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING

hi, so I have around 6 quails all together that includes two males. And yes the males to get along since they we’re raised together. My only problem is that on of the females is attacking the male and it’s pecking the males eye. It’s strange but is there anything I can do stop stop this behaviour???
And maybe what is causing this???

Can you separate the birds until someone more knowledgeable about quails gets in touch?
