What the verdict egg experts?!

Fertile or not? My silkie Roo is only seen w the orpington girls, I'm hoping he's with the silkie hens too...here's an egg.

I doubt that one will hatch - usually we leave the shells on them.

The best (only) way to tell is to incubate them for a week. At day 7 you should be able to see blood vessels. Before that its just speculations & witchcraft.

I have hatched out hundreds of chicks and have had hens and roosters for 10 yrs--to me, this egg looks fertile.

I just looked at the enlarged version--it is fertile, I'm 99% sure.

Yea I had hoped to hatch it but I dropped it w another and this one I was in the shell enough to check out. I'll be collecting my silkie girls eggs to start incubating now! Yay!
