This was to be a Lavendar Orpington pullet hahahah…not even close. Anyone have the slightest idea what breed this one may be? Not quite 3 months old. The legs don’t show well in the pics - they are a dark, slate grey with yellow undertone. S/he also has a few random spots of black in the feathers. I circled one of the spots. Appreciate any and all guesses 😊

You know, as an aside, I don't understand why Lavender Orpingtons have slate legs. We had some not long ago and got totally confused on the breed ID because of that.

I think Black Orpingtons and Blue Orpingtons also have legs that are black or slate in color.

It's probably an effect of the gene that makes them have all-black feathers (blue and lavender are both dilutions of black.) Almost every picture I can find of a black chicken (any breed) has dark legs.
