The title says it- "What things should you always have on hand for sick/injured poultry?!?!"

I live where there is no vet or feed store and will need to keep a stock pile of my own.

Things I know I should have-

Vet wrap
Zip ties
Blankets/towels (lots)
Stitching Kit
Electrolytes
Baking soda
Essential Oils, Peppermint, Lavender, Frankincense, Thieves, Lime, Lemon, etc.
DE
ACV
Yogurt Cultures
Scissors
Silver coating (might have another name)

I can't think of anything else.

I am into natural everything but realize not everything can be cured naturally

I would like to hear of anything you keep on hand. Natural or not.

I am not trying to be snide, or otherwise objectionable, but: a sharp axe or knife. Often culling is the kindest option.

the most important thing in my chicken first aid kit is: Poultry Nutri-Drench.
Agrees to both^^^ some vitamins and a plan for euthanasia, I use cervical dislocation via the broomstick method to euthanize a sick bird.

I have had chickens for years. I have a single towel in the coop, to be used as needed. And a sharp knife. I have never used any of the other stuff on your list. To keep chickens healthy, they need wind protection, good ventilation, clean food and water.

I think sometimes people get all this stuff, and then want to try it out, which leads to over treatment.

I kept my pullet that had broken its leg in a separate cage to the rest of the flock and provided food, water and the occasional treat. within a few weeks of being isolated it recovered. It still limps but does lay eggs. I didn't give it any medical help instead letting it heal naturally. The items above would help a sick chicken but maybe not an injured one.

Oh, I would never use scissors to cull or butcher up a bird. I always have a Ax and a Good outdoor knife. Thankfully I am okay with putting down animals.

I never thought of "poultry Nutri-drench. Thanks.

I have had a lot of things happen to my birds in the past and want to be prepared just in case... No feed stores or anything around.

Thanks aart.

I have both of these. Thanks.
Actually, a way to separate birds is a good plan.
Yeah, I have this in my coop building plans.
