What time do your girls lay their eggs?

Are you kidding! I check every chance I get. I'm an egg addict. I need more eggs and I need larger ones.

Mine mostly lay early in the morning. My light is on a timer and comes on at 1am so by the time I'm up, most of them have already laid, but I never get tired of checking. It's like a little treasure hunt for me. I can never get enough eggs. Funny thing is, I'm allergic to eggs.

DH loves them though and I can cook with them. I sell them too, but still I like eggs all day long

My girls lay between late morning or early afternoon. I only have two laying now, a RIR and a bantam and they usually lay around the same time, in the same nest. In the summer, I had 9 eggs a day, 5 RIR's and 4 bantams, so all nine girls were laying an egg a day. I'm so proud of them and have no problem with them taking a break for a few months. Also, they are almost four years old.

It's interesting hearing when everyone else's chickens lay. Ophelia laid her egg today just before 5:00!

I don't mind going out there multiple times each day, not only because it's fun but also because I don't want anyone getting the bright idea that eggs are fun to eat (except the humans, that is).

Well lets see........my ducks lay in early morning right about daylight....then the bantams take turns until about 4 pm..then one hen lays right after I lock them up........ so I get to peek all day long.....
