What time of day to look for eggs?

My chickens tend to lay in the early afternoon.
My ducks lay usually before 9:am but I don't do my chores till early afternoon so that when I look for eggs.

X2! Isn't that funny, chickens lay just about any time of day, but usually a little later each day until their nest is done, but ducks lay in morning and peafowl lay late in the day, usually just before dark.

I have a BA that likes to wait till right before bedtime to get in the nest box to lay, I've even had to go back out after everyone is roosting and open the door for her to go inside since the nest box she likes is in the duck side of the coop.
