Up at seven to get the kids off to school by 8:30. My husband feeds the horses between 6:30 and 7:00 and is off to work.

I briefly go out in the morning to check everyone. I do all my feeding and watering in the evening around 5:00-6:00.

hmmmmm, am I doing something wrong? Right now my chickens are in with my 2 pygmy goats, they have a good sized fenced in area which is connected to the barn, which is open to the fenced in area all the time, so, the goats and chickens go in and out of the barn whenever they want. We are in the process of building the chickens their own coop and run, but it's not finished as of yet. Is it OK to allow the chickens to go in and out of the barn whenever they want??? They all go in to roost at night, and the one hen that is laying goes into the laying box whenever she is ready. Thanks
