I hatched a duckling with wry neck. It was really bad at first but this morning when I took her out of the incubator it was a lot better. I read about how they get it and stuff but what exactly do I have to buy at tractor supply

Hi there and congrats on the new addition !

You will need to give them niacin as per usual. I like a b complex supplement but there is also a sticky on other options here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/nutritional-yeast-vs-brewers-yeast.1393856/

For the wry neck, you are looking for selenium and vit e - I usually grind up a human supplement which is selenium + A, C and E and put it in their water.

Are they eating and drinking without help ?

Apologies for not being specific about Tractor Supply - I am not American.

@Isaac 0 and @Miss Lydia - could you help here please ?

Thank you. He/she is walking around and eating and drinking. The only thing is when she can reach down to get water fine but she can’t tilt her head up so I don’t how much she is actually swallowing

I would assume you need to assist with eating adn drinking if thats possible, especially once you have your supplements in place.

Wry neck takes longer than say leg issues so expect a couple of weeks of giving some level of support and if its any less - result !

I think its great you are helping the little one - keeping it all crossed for you both !

Would this work https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/durvet-lamb-kid-selenium-vitamin-e-gel-52983?cm_vc=-10005

Selenium can be easily overdosed on with ducklings, and there's little research as far as a "safe dose" so I would just personally totally avoid the use of it, and instead, use food with naturally high selenium content instead such as scrambled eggs, or mashed fish. Vitamin E is a little safer, and you can give her one 400iu soft gel capsule once a day.
