What to do about gaps in coop

I wasn’t sure how to work the situation so the title may not be accurate, but we’re building a chicken coop for the deep litter bedding method, and lined the coop with plastic. To make the plastic fit and the walls smooth we used plywood to cover the studs but it made gaps between the plywood and coop walls. I haven’t personally had anything happen to my flock but I hear that chickens like to try to kill themselves on anything and everything so I’m trying to figure out a way to cover the gaps that won’t take to much material. I took some picture of the gaps and some of the coop.

I just did something similar. I installed 2x4 blocking to cover them, mainly to keep litter/poop from accumulating and rodents living in the hard-to-reach crevices. You can see some of them in this photo:

That’s smart, and we should have extra pieces from building, I’ll definitely try it!

My hubby would probably toenail in a 2x4. (@StinkyAcres beat me to it lol.) Me doing a less professional thing, I'd staple in 1/2" HWC.

Also is that a duck on your roost! I didn’t know they did that.

Yes, but she is a Muscovy which is a type of tree duck.

I did think she looked like a Muscovy, but I’ve never had any just runners and mallards.

Yep, but no rodents could live down there! Thank goodness I have a handy hubby to fix things the right way though, and I knew what he'd have done.
