We have commercial flocks of thousands of birds using our feeders. If you have chickens you are going to be spending money on treadle feeders or spending money on rodent control and still losing feed to the rodents. All yah gotta do is decide which way is best for you.
A medium feeders will feed 100 birds for one day as long as you have plenty so that a feeder is likely to be open at any given time. One feeder for 16 birds, two feeders will cover 50 birds, three feeders will cover 100 birds as long as you don't mind refilling every third day.
