My female African goose is still too rough with the duckings, so she's in her own section of the brooder. She can see the others, but she can't get to them. However, she's been trying to jump over the divider to be with them and I'm worried she's going to hurt herself. I have a Toulouse gosling, but she's very attached to the ducklings and is very unhappy when I put her with my African gosling. My African gosling is very attached to me and is very happy when I have her out, but I can't keep her with me all day & night.

Right now, she has a mirror over her food and she is allowed to spend a little time with the ducklings & other gosling during bath time. Though I have needed to remove her when she goes after the ducklings.

Do you think I should try to find another gosling to be with her? Where could I find another 2 week old female gosling?

Any other ideas on where I might find a 2 week old female gosling? Petfinder shows nothing in my state, and craiglist has nothing closer than a 2 hour drive. With 3 alpacas due any day now, I just can't travel that far.

Check with your local feed store. Often they know who raises what in your community, or may be willing to call you when they hear of anything. Also, you can put wanted ads up. If you have to you can make an order from a hatchery, but you can see if the feedstore is willing to order you a pair, or you can place a craigslist ad looking for people to split up an order of waterfowl.
