I'm having all sorts of wild birds raid the chicken feed... And it's organic soy free... They sure will have healthy fledglings this year, eh?

Anyone have success keeping the stinkers away? I do have a separate feeder for the wild ones.

Put your feeders in the coop and or run. Cover the run and coop vents with small opening mesh. This will keep out the sparrows. If you have a chicken access door in the run for free ranging then there is not much you can do to keep the sparrows from entering there. Each day I add feed to the feeders but toss a lot out on the ground for the chickens to peck and eat. I have a few decoy owls to deter flocks of birds and they help a little. During the cold and snowy months is when birds want in my coop for warmth and food.
