What to do to discourage ducks from laying eggs in the water?

My ducks keep laying eggs in the water and I find tons of them at the bottom whenever I drain it. :/ Is there a way to discourage it?

I think it just happens, they don't have much in the have of control.
You could remove access to the pond until they lay.

They usually lay in the morning so yeah, what @nuthatched said.
