Now, silly question....do Geese lay 1 egg every 24 hours? Or can they lay multiple eggs in a day?

every other day.any sign of papa?

If the mama goose is sitting on the nest full-time she probably has laid all her eggs. Normally father goose would be would be hanging around the nest, I think. His absence does not bode well for the father.

A lady from my work swears she laid 5 eggs yesterday evening. Which I found a bit strange.

And Dad was around yesterday evening. She is also getting up and drinking the water I put out there yesterday.

YAY!!! she going to need his help when gosling hatch theirs is a team effort. So happy to hear this, actually I read once and don't remember where, but while mama is sitting papa goes and plays with other available females. You know the old saying while the cats away... Don't know if it's true about the ganders though.

I don't think thats part of his duties. But he'll be right there to help once they hatch. She won't go far to eat and drink but seems she'd have to have some kind of water for swimming thats how they maintain humidity underneath.
