What to do with 4 week old duckling when I start working

I have four week old Indian runner duck that I keep indoors as a pet. She is the only duck I bought. I haven't been working and I have spent every day with her since she was born. I am going to start working soon. I do not want to get rid of her. What should I do? Get another duck?

She may have imprinted on you to the point she doesn't know she is a duck. If you put another in with her they may fight. I don't suppose your job allows "bring your duckling to work," days. Try posting on the Duck Thread and see what they suggest.

You may also want to check out "show us your house ducks," thread. People on there may have suggestions about having a house duck alone while they are at work.
