What to do with a mean girl chick

Thank you for your sentiments.
Hello, I reviewed your thread re mean girl. I’m sorry you lost that one chick. Hopefully she was the only one. now some time has passed since your post and I was wondering how mean girl turned out?I am asking because I have a brooder with 8. 3 week old chicks of mixed variety. The Wheaton Maran girl is a mean girl. She runs around pecking at everyone. I’ve reviewed everyone’s suggestions and none of those issues overcrowding boredom, etc. would apply to her. These chicks are in the kitchen. I have plenty of room toys, branches mirrorsHeat if they want it, etc. I can’t think of anything to change and I’m wondering. If yourMean, girl, Maran outgrew the aggression or got worse. I ordered all“friendly “ birds which they are except for her!

The op has not been back. Personally I wouldn't worry if your "mean girl" isn't causing real injury. At 3 to 4 weeks they have started to establish their own little pecking order. Once they get it worked out, things will probably settle down. Try to keep an open mind where this chick is concerned. She may become your best friend in the future.

I hope your mean girl will be ok. Maybe she is just making here statement that the pecking order starts with me!

I agree with @janiedoe. Also, many times, meanness comes from fear. Spend some time with her.
