I would say that strongly depends on WHOM that possum is being thrown at...my ex-husband for example...a perfect candidate for possum tossing.

Definately don't get caught with one peeping out of a apron worn to the localy grocery store.

Years ago I was raising a baby possum. The little fellow lived inside a pocket on my apron sorta like the pocket on its mom.

One day no one was home to care for the possum and I "had" to go the the grocery store so I wore my apron into the store with the possum in tow. The little fellow had grown some and would pull its front feet up to the edge of the pocket and look around at the world outside.

Anyway I was looking at the meat section minding my own business when I noticed just a few feet down there was a couple just standing there staring at me. Well this caught my attension. They were looking towards the pocket of my apron. Of course I looked down and there this little fellow was peeping out. All you could see were two tiny feet and its head. Maybe the possum was checking the sales like I was.

I looked this people right in there eyes and said "Haven't you ever seen a woman shopping with her possum before?'

What kills me to this day is I said that with the straightest face I could. I never cracked a smile or anything.

Anyway me and the possum got the rest of our stuff quickly and got out of the store before we were kicked out.

This story still makes me laugh everytime I think about it.
