What to do with a rooster that I can not keep?

- Have they ever gotten along? If so, what changed between then and now?
- How big is your flock? Could they be fighting over too few hens?
- How much space do they have? Can they get out of each others way?
- How brutal is the fighting? Lots of blood, just some feather pulling and chasing or somewhere in between?

I keep a rooster flock. Without access to hens they get along just fine - most of the time. If they have previously gotten along, and you have time/space/energy, you could try keeping them together without hens.

You're right. My Monsieur Maurice had a larger and more flamboyant comb. But it seems clear to me there's a LOT of BCM in that roo. And the feathering was nearly identical.

I have 11 hens with the two roosters and they free range. I dont have room for more hens the fights to get a little bloody. I would hate for anything to happen to any of the roosters.

I am not sure what breed he is, I got his egg from someone with lost of different breeds, I do know that he came from a greed egg. He does not have a single comb but I cant remember what his is called, I think it's a rose comb

Then he is not a BCM. He is the project bird of an Olive Egger project which likely used Marans on one side at one point.

There was a rosecomb parent somewhere back as rosecomb is dominant. Rosecomb breeds are not typically used for Olive eggers so the chickens were simply running together.

So he is just a backyard mix. He will be difficult to place. There is no value in him per se.

Nope, just an Easter Egger barnyard mix(wellsummer, blk copper maran with Easter Egger hen) I know as I had one that looked like this fella... He was gorgeous and a sweet heart..
