What to do with an extra roo?

Unfortunately once they leave your property you have no control what happens to them. It always amazes me the number of people who post roosters on craigslist and list them as "not for food".

A few years back I listed about 20 roos on Craiglist and they all found homes within a few days. I assumed they were going to the dinner table. I gave my favorite roo and a few hens to my sister and neices. They had no intention of eating them but within a few months a raccoon got into the chicken pen and killed them all. As far as I know the ones I gave away to who ever answered the ad lasted longer then the ones I made sure went to a good home.

I suggest you try to find him a good home and hope for the best!
