I’m a newbie and haven’t had luck finding a clear answer to the question of what to do with extra chick feed when my pullets switch over to layer feed. They are 16 weeks old and I’ve read that they should get layer feed starting at 18 weeks. I sure have a lot of chick feed left. Is there anything I can do with it? Can they eat it in the winter when they’re not laying? Mix a little in? I hate to waste food! Thanks for your help.

I'm using 2 feed container 1 has All Flock feed the other has Chick feed. They are eating both till chick feed is all gone. I only have 5 birds

Put out a container of Oyster Shells now and finish the chick feed, it'll be stale by winter.
