I have several chicks that are getting pecked pretty bad by one of my RIR chicks. Its definitely a hen. Will isolation cure the problem or is it best just to part ways with her and avoid the problem continuing?

*bump. I am also having the same problem now that Ive moved my older ones into the new coop with the babies.. I want it to stop, the poor babies are becoming featherless!

If no one has any injuries, best to just leave them to sort it for themselves. If there are injuries, separate the bully until the chicks are a little older.

It can be difficult to integrate chicks of different sizes,a the larger will often pick on the smaller. You may need to separate them until they are older.

In both cases, use a red brooder lamp, as that seems to decrease picking.
