So I’ve had sick chickens before as has everyone. I’ve gotten my chickens from a few different sources and not all of them were npip. I wish I hadn’t of done that but oh well, as long as there healthy right? So my method of dealing with sick chickens is culling, at least anything that could be respiratory. I do not buy sick chickens, at least not ones that look sick. But I just feel like every chicken I’ve got will get sick even after I’ve dispatched of the sick one? What do y’all usually do or recommend?

The reason I’m asking is I want to become a very responsible breeder and ik there’s no way to have chickens and never have one get sick. So how do y’all keep the ones that were in the coop with the sick bird from getting sick?
