Well, I was given a few chicks as a gift. One of them ended up being a Cornish cross. I've never owned this type personally but I have some friends that get them every year for 4-H and their own freezer. Anyhow, there are three distinct sizes in my three chicks. They will be five weeks old on Thursday. The two smaller chicks are picking on the big guy horribly.... to the point where he's loosing a lot of feathers and bleeding. For now, they are seperate but I don't want to do that forever. What do I do with him now?

I have thought about keeping him for a pet. Might not be the best idea for him or myself. Then I thought, I'll find someone to butcher him for me cause I sure can't and won't do it. Then I thought that I might as well just sell him. For how much? He's the most nasty and ugly bird I've ever owned. Should I wait until he's bigger to sell? How should I list him? He's been eating store bought food and free ranges in the evenings. He's probably about a pound right now... I've never had to deal with this before and I'm pretty clueless about everything.

I wouldn't think you could get much for him if you tried to sell him. $3 or so?
Maybe, like you said, you could find someone else to take him.

Just give it away if you don't want to butcher it. If seperating them is your main issue, remember that broilers are only around for 8 weeks total, so you wouldn't have to do it for long.
