people have been telling me my hens close to laying i made a nest box but how do i get her to use i used fake plastic eggs. i put her in the nest box its big enough for her but all she does is poke the egg and leave. any tips i would greatly appreciate

My hens started laying in the nesting box when they started laying. I did not use fake eggs.

She left the nest box because she was not ready to lay. She knows the box is there more likely than not she will lay in the box when her time comes. How old is she?

She is old enough to lay if her body's ready. At this point if she starts to lay off the nest, then worry on how to get her to use the nest. Some hens don't spend time in the box, just dash to the box, lay and leave.
