So I own a nice chicken tractor and I've always wanted to own chickens. Well now I do.

I have a Blue Lace Red Wyandotte, Silver Pencil Rock, Easter Egger, Welsummer, and three Australorps.

I have a dilemma. One is a rooster and I really want to keep him. However I live in a suburb. The law says 5 poultry and 1 crowing fowl. So that means I could keep him right?

Let's say I keep him. Their coop is around 200 foot away from my next door neighbor and 300 plus for from my other neighbor. Would having one rooster be that disturbing?

In my subdivision 5 people own chickens. I'm not sure about roosters though.

So own all hems and be all about egg production. Or breed australorp?

Well one crowing fowl so yes unless you plan on one of your hens crowing

(Which they will actually do sometimes in the absence of a rooster) So you can keep your rooster if that's what you want and choose the other 4 (or 5?) hens. Does it say including or plus one crowing fowl?

Sorry should have mentioned, you can go ask your neighbours if they would mind ( and even if they do you are LEGALLY allowed to have him, if you didn't mind your neighbours hating you ) It can be disturbing, roosters don't just crow in the morning like in the books, they will crow randomly throughout the day.
