That's great! I'm surprised she's still hanging in there after rupturing the yolk. It may not be too late to correct the foot if you are willing to make a little sandle for it. Look here and you'll find the sandles/boot for curled toes: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/02/spraddle-leg-in-baby-chicks-what-is-it.html*UPDATE* Well, things with Peaches got a little messy. Even confined, she managed to rupture her yolk sac and step on the cord and pull out more "stuff" from inside of her. I tied off the area with some thread, trimmed off the hanging stuff so that she wouldn't injure herself more, and put on some betadyne to ward off infection. I didn't think she would last the night (even tied off, yolk was oozing out of her), but she is still alive 2 days later - walking around, chirping, and pooing. She seems to have an injured right foot, but gets around okay and has started to fluff up. I haven't seen her eat yet, but she takes vitamins and water from a dropper. Peaches is getting lots of love and TLC so we are hoping she will pull through!

You're welcome.Thank you so much!! I was thinking about making her some kind of splint for her foot and was wondering the best way to go about it. This sandal will be perfect!![]()
