What to feed Adult Guineas?

I have been feeding my guineas the DuMor line of Poultry feed from Tractor Supply.

We are in the last weeks of the Grower/Finisher.

What should they eat next?

They free range now, but won't be in the winter.

Adult guineas can do fine on any quality feed that is at least 16% protein. I feed mine a 20% protein layer pellets along with free choice oyster shell..

I feed mine a game bird feed, but they are free range. I feed them just to keep them roosting in the barn.

I am wondering also about feeding my girls now that they are "in" for the winter. And they are only "in" because there are too many hungry predators up here to let them roam.

They have a feeder full of wild game nugget stuff, I give them a few hand fulls of mealies every morning & evening, and an apple or lettuce shavings every other day & they seem happy enough. I also give them a scoop of rocks from where they were getting them before lock-down every other day.

Am I missing anything important to their diet?

I really love

my girls & want them to be happy this (our first) winter together!
