I'm so old I Remember when:

That leaves us to push the wheelbarrows
Not I. I would organize a team of boys to find a plank to make a bridge to the top of the sand pile. Then I would hold a contest of some kind to line up the boys to take turns trying to run the wheelbarrow across the ramp without dumping it for a $5 prize. I would then round up all the girls for a Cheer 'n Jeer Club. And then I would set up a condiment concession stand and sell drinks and candy and popcorn. 🤣

Our friends helped cut some locust trees, make fence posts and put up a barbed wire fence for a keg of beer in the 80's. They were going to throw a party after they were done but a few of them had to go to the hospital after poison sumac was burned in the brush pile.Burning it releases the oil in the smoke causing severe skin and respiratory reactions.Nobody wanted any beer after that

They have seat belts on her bus?
  • Eight states - Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Texas - have laws requiring the installation of seat belts on school buses. Arkansas and Louisiana's laws, however, are subject to appropriations or approval or denial by local jurisdictions. Iowa adopted a rule in 2019 requiring lap/shoulder belts in all new Iowa school buses.
