What to Feed Baby Chickens:

I have a bag of Dumor 20% grower/starter feed from Tractor Supply here in Arkansas. That's what I buy most of the time. The description says it is suited for baby chickens up to 10 weeks old. Some of my chickens are nearing 10 weeks old so what's next to feed them?
You can feed it for life. Just put out a container or two of oyster shell when they are 18 weeks old and your done.

As @DobieLover said it can be fed their whole lives.

I myself feed chick starter until everyone in the group is actually laying then I switch to layer feed in a hanging feeder and all flock made into a mash every morning. I also have oyster shell available in a separate dish.
For me this works well as some of my flock are no longer laying and don't need that extra calcium. I had noted before doing this that a few retired hens were not eating much at all. This allows everyone to get what they need.
