What to feed goslings

Mine have been outside for 1 /12 weeks now. All 18 went out at the same time and are all in the same room together, no heat source at all and all are doing great.

Why do you have a dilemma

Well, it might of happened anyway. The Canadian's right wing is curling outward. Since she is a wild goose I would hate the thought of her being grounded for life. I've been doing a lot of reading and one site said to feed them alfalfa pellets. If I were to continue with the starter/grower feed I already have, what should I mix it with to reduce the protein? This feed I have is 20%.

If we've have caught this time is it possible for the wing to correct itself on its own with the reduced protein diet? The thought of holding her down while wrapping her wing is a bit daunting.

Ohhhhhh, I htink you need to get its Protein down, I have mine on the Grower/Finisher which is 16% and you DONT want to feed Alphalpha pellets...they are high in Protein too. To high a protein for ducks and you will end up with Angel Wing, I dont know if its the same for Geese, but I would get the protein down if I was you!!

OK, I have found a feed that is 16% protein and have bought the tape. Still not sure if we want to try and tape her up. He/She is 4 weeks old and very strong. This could be a battle equivilant to cutting a cats nails.
