so far i have been feeding regular purina chicken layer crumbles with mixed bird seeds but i read somewhere that if they get too fat they will not lay or will be less fertile in the breeding season. what do you guys feed your mandarins and can you guys give me some more info on breeding?

Chickenzzzz,
We feed our ducks a all flock, mixed with corn, soybean, wheat and some small grit. With the cold we have had they have been eating alot of corn, and when it warms they go back to the all flock more. If they are getting fat cut down to basically all flock feed, but in the winter depending where you live, you may want to wait till winter is leaving town before you go to less grains. Breeding wise they like wood duck boxes or ground boxes too. Good Luck
