What to feed meat birds?

Welcome! I would feed them whatever commercial meat birds get, maybe a little less, as they find protein from other sources when they are free range. Try feeding them Black Oil Sunflower seeds or sprouted barley to boost the amount of protein they get. Hope this helps!

I feed Nutrena meat bird feed it’s 22% protein, I fed it from start to finish last year and it worked great. The only other thing I fed was a couple hand fulls of cracked corn each day for the last 10 days or so. I had 30 birds.

Whatever meatbird/broiler crumbles your local stores carry and you like the look of.

If for some reason you wanted to slow their growth, you could go with a regular chick starter/grower. Or start with meatbird and then go to regular starter/grower. Personally, I would feed meatbird all the way through, but some people prefer to really slow down the growth, for whatever reason.
