What to feed mixed age chickens

I want to put my 12wk old chicks in with the older layers
Can I feed flock raiser to all the the flock until the youngings
are to the point of lay. Of course I will have calcium available
in the form of egg shells free choice.

Will this work for the older girls as well it has more protien but
I dont think there are problems with that for the layers.

Dont know what would be more economical with out losing the
eggs we are already getting.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

That is the preferred method. The extra protein will help with the eggs, believe me. Flock raiser caused my hens to go into over-drive.
