what to feed my 40 chickens with...

Hello all, I have 40 chickens. 20 layers and 20 game hens. As of right now I'm feeding them chicken scratch and mixed grain. I feel this isn't enough since they are non stop eating. I just built them an automatic feeder and the food is just about gone. What can I do to make this situation better and help the layers produce eggs as they are aprox 11 weeks to 18 weeks old.

Scratch and scratch grains should be a treat, not their regular food. They need grower feed until about 18 to 20 weeks. Then you offer layer feed and offer oyster shell for extra calcium (think strong eggshells) seperately.
