WHAT TO FEED MY CHICKENS

Hey! So I have 4 Plymouth Rock chickens and 6 buff Orpingtons. The Plymouth Rock chickens have grown their comb and waddles while the orpingtons still have not gone through puberty. All of my chickens are 4-5 months old. I have layers feed at home, and I was wondering if it would be okay for the chickens health to feed them layers feed.

From what I've read Buff Orpington start laying around 6 months old.
I would buy another bag of Starter Grower or an All-Flock feed and put out a separate container of Oyster Shells for the Barred Rocks. My Barred Rocks started to lay between 20 and 23 weeks. GC

I agree. I would wait until you get your first egg then switch them to layer. Good luck and have fun...
