What to feed my free loaders

I've used Dumor & did not like the results :( Research the forums as to others that have used it and experienced the same results I did - Stinky, soft, dark poop that attracted flies. It was less costly, the girls ate it but the smell in their house got horrible. Once I switched to FR, their poop got "nice", no flies and even noticed they looked healthier. Try a small bag and see how it works for you. Like everything/everyone we all differ. :hugs
I have also had that experience with the Dumor brand. They make a mess of the food and it’s so gross! What is FR that you mention? Who carries it? Thank you for your help.

Purina Flock Raiser. 20190323_064140-2.jpg .It's a All-Flock feed that can be fed to all ages of Chickens and Ducks. I get mine at TSC (Tractor Supply Co).
You will need to offer the hens and pullets that are laying a container of Oyster Shells. Because there's not enough Calcium. About 1%, compared to a Layers feed which has around 3.5 to 4%. GC

I would think that since they're not laying at this point, their nutritional needs are not quite as high as a layers - you could probably safely mix in a higher % of food, yard, and garden wastes into their diets as a way to save some money on feed and "recycle" things that otherwise may get discarded.
