I wouldn't waste your time on bagged hay. Pick up as nice of a bale as you can at the feed store. Should be able to find it under $10/50#. The quality should be fine because their customer base demands it. If the geese won't eat it( if you have lots of grass, they probably won't touch it) save it for the chickens. They will enjoy it.Hmmm I may try a small bag of the hay at first to see if they’ll even eat it. Mine are pretty picky. Other wise I may try fodder. Heck I may do both if I can find grain for cheap. Because When I snow here in Missouri it snows and leaves no grass behind. Thank you all for the different ideas and suggestions.
