What to feed Quail

What kind of grain do I feed my quail before I butcher them.right now they are on chick starter

I am not familiar with needing to feed quail grain before butchering. If there is a science to this process of feeding grain, there is grain in the chick starter...corn, oats, wheat, barley, etc...

But you can feed them any type of seeds or grains that other livestock or birds eat. I feed a mix to my poultry every day just for their love of it.
