What to feed the Roo?

Hello again BYC members!!! This may be a silly question to ask now, since I've been raising chickens now for just over a year.

What am I supposed to be feeding my Roo? I have 8 girls & him all together. How am I supposed to feed him something different other than the layer pellets/crumbles I give my girls? Or... Is it ok for him to eat the same as all the others? I was buying feed today & it just hit me to ask this question....
