What to Feed?

What do you feed a meat chicken?

I feed my X's 20% chick starter from day old till "the day."

I do the same only with 23% feed. No medicated feed for something me and my family are going to eat.

I used to use 24% but it was a waste... stick to 20-22% from day old til' processing...


I use 22%

We used 20% medicated up until a week before butchering then switched to non-medicated.

I feed mine 20% starter grower and about a month before I butcher them I feed them corn...

Is there a special "meat bird" feed or does everyone use the starter like some of you said? I've checked a few places so far and no one has anything special.
