Hi I'm new to pigeons can someone help me out with what is the best thing to feed them

A pigeon feed from your feed-store. If they have an "all-grain" type & a pelleted type, choose the pellet, well, I would choose the pelleted. If they don't have pigeon feed, just use layer pellets. These birds are very adaptable, I know of good breeders who've used turkey feed and even hog pellets with good results. I like the pelleted chicken feed or pelleted pigeon feed, the pellets have a balanced amount of vitamins and minerals that the grain feeds don't, and also, the layer pellets I use have enough calcium where I don't need any additional oyster shells. All else you'll really need is some grit, to digest any feed that's not water soluble, like...... I like to give them a handful of mixed grain or bird seed just for some variety and "candy".
If you do go with the grain feeds, find some "red pigeon grit" and give them that. You may also choose to add some extra oystershell to that.

Hope that helps some, just ask any questions you may have, there are many knowledgeable people on here willing to share.

"manna pro" brand, " conditioner, is made also for show and racing pigeons, though its expensive compared to close second of just using layer pellets, which i prefer to anything ive tried, and thats just over cheapest walmart wild bird seed adding "gravel and grit with calcium" for caged birds. ive used available general and racing pigeon feeds, and am not impressed with them at all but the best found to be for all types ive had to be: purina's "nutriblend gold", and the "nutriblend green" was pretty bad, though they eat it readily.
