what to look for?

as a first time chicken owner im unsure of what changes to look for when my hens are going to start to lay, or is there nothing physical you can see?
they are approx 15-16 weeks old now.
2 bluebelles and 2 speckled murrans

any advise would be great

Combs and wattles will enlarge and become more red. Many hens will 'squat' for their keepers as they would for a rooster. Egg laying generally initiates within a couple of weeks of these occurrences.
