Not Laying & Crowing

I had a Speckled Sussex hen come out of her second molting acting like a rooster. I think she, now he, had somehow damaged her ability to produce female hormones. I thought when she molted again she would turn back to being a hen. I was wrong. She became more and more a rooster, even growing spurs! She started to cock-fight with the 2 real flock roosters. We had enough of her when she started mounting the hens. She (he) was causing increasing turmoil in the flock. Hated to do it, during the night we dispatched her to the trash can. 😪
 
There's no way to reverse it. She's not actually turning into a rooster, her ovary was damaged so she's not producing female hormones anymore. She may mount other hens, but she cannot actually fertilize eggs. What you do with her is up to you. If she's still otherwise pleasant and you have the arrangements and desire to keep her, keep her. If not, cull or rehome her
