What to pay for silkies ?

there is someone about 2 hours from me that is getting a big order of silkies from Ideal the end of this month.
I want to get 3 or 4 of them for pets. She says she doesn't know what to charge for them and i don't know either. I want the tranaction to be fair to both of us.
They will be about 5 or 6 days old whan I go and get them.

anyone have suggestions on what they should cost ?

what did she pay for the chicks? and give her a $1.00 more i think would be fair seing how you got to go two hours one way to get them

Why dont you just order a few . It would prob cost you the same to buy them from ideal and have them shipped as it would to buy them and pay for gas to go to the persons house and buy them

but pk, is ideal like mcmurry, in that it has a minimum order? or that they load up small orders with random male chicks to keep the selected chicks warm?

chicken women, i think you should look on ideal's website for price per silkie chick, then add couple bucks for shipping and a couple bucks for food.

fyi, i paid $15 ea. for a pair of 6 month old silkies. the owner was ready to get rid of them, and i dont think made much on them when you count food. (they are beautiful and i love them very much.)

I believe ideal allows you to do small orders . They may throw in a few "packing penuts " for warmth
