What to put chicks outside in?

My chicks have to be enclosed in something as my big girls will be way too nosey to leave them alone. Is there something I can build for them to go out in?

Is this in the coop or outside in the yard? If out in the yard, there's a lot of options you can do. I raised my chicks in a dog crate that I could just bring outside on warm days. If you can keep an eye on them, even a cardboard temporary "pen" for a little supervised playtime wouldn't be a bad idea.

I put my babies outside for only a few hours at a time, in a chicken-wire fenced raised garden area. I made sure it was secure all around, and clothes-pinned a sheet over the top. This worked fine while they were still fuzzy little peepers! But I did not leave home while they were out - I don't like to take chances!

This forum has lots of ideas - people who build different kinds of enclosures. Coops, tractors, etc. I'm sure you'll find some good ideas here!
