What to put in an emergency kit?

Ah yes, I forgot the Calcium citrate because I take that myself. And vet wrap, yes, for bumblefoot. And Prid also. There's always something!
I keep everything in a box so I just ran and looked lol. Prid is something I recommend if folks have bumblefoot chickens, but we have never had that, so I don't own any.

What do you use the ivermectin for, if I may ask? If it's for a dewormer, most suggest using
Valbazen (albendazole), or Safeguard (fenbendazole). We've never wormed ours, although when we're treating for scaly leg mites, I guess we are to a certain extent. :)

It's said Ivermectin has lost its effectiveness for deworming, but it can still work.
I use fenbendazole for deworming and ivermectin would be good for scaly leg mites I think! But I also have mite spray I use (premetherin)

We used to use vaseline for SLM (scaly leg mites) but then our flock grew so that became cumbersome greasing up all those feathery legs and toes (silkies). We then switched to Ivermectin several years ago as they get them about every two years. It works. Permethrin won't kill those kind of mites unfortunately. We use DE in our coops monthly to keep mites away, but that won't keep SLM away either. If we'd ever get the regular mites though, I'd use permethrin. Knock on wood, never any of those kind of mites/lice!
