What to put in shipping box with chickens???

Chickens have a very poor sense of smell. My guess is that they happen to step on it and think "hey! what's this squishy thing here? Let's eat it!"

I think my 2 silkies are going to be too close to eachother to have much eating room lol....but you guys ARE the experts and said i could put 2 silkies in a reg. normal, standard single shipping box lol..I have trust in you guys!

Doesn't adding fruit to the box cause problems in some states where it's not legal to import fruit (e.g California)?
